The XAT exam is conducted for admission of candidates to various MBA colleges and PGDM courses. The exam is conducted once every year in 46 cities across India. Through the XAT scores, candidates can get admission in XLRI, 10 other XAMI members and over 700 B-schools.
To be eligible for this exam, a candidate needs to hold a Bachelor’s degree of three or more years in any field. An equivalent of it from a recognized institute may also work.
The exam is conducted through online mode and the duration of the exam is three hours. The medium is English. On the day of the exam, the candidate is not allowed to carry any electronic device like a calculator, mobile phone Upstox Review 2020 or even a watch. No stationery is allowed as well. The documents that the students may carry on the day of the exam are the XAT admit card and identity proof.

In 2018, the syllabus for the XAT exam was revised and the Essay Writing section was removed. Now, the students have to focus only on Decision Making, Verbal & Logical Ability, Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation, and General Knowledge to clear the examination.
The section of Verbal and Logical Ability has 26 questions for the candidates to answer. In case of a wrong answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted for each. The syllabus includes topics such as

Along with the negative marking for each incorrect answer in the first three sections, there will also be a deduction of 0.5 marks for more than 8 unattempted questions with hdsector.
While there are several books by several publishers to prepare for the first three topics, GK can be prepared through reading newspapers, magazines, and journals.
The entire application process is done online for the XAT exams and the fee is INR 1,700 per candidate when paid on time while the techieidea.com late fee is INR 2,000.
