How does this work?

The technology works using 3 components:

1. Bluetooth Gateway – this is small hardware that is placed at the workplace and is used to track BLE beacon devices within a range of 1 ft to 100 ft or more. BeaconTrax uses Bluetooth 5.0 BLE devices which are connected to the internet to transmit beacon and sensor data to its cloud server over a secure channel.

2. BLE Beacons – this is a small tag (aka Beacon) that is assigned to staff or visitors you would like to track. When workers move around your office or worksite, beacons transmit a low-energy signal to the Gateway which will allow Gateway to identify the location of the person. Various types of beacon can be used, including ID card beacons which are easy to deploy to employees.

3. Cloud SaaS Software – BeaconTrax’s online software is used to view all the tracked people in real-time as well as view their historical activities. The online software is accessible 24 x 7 and has several detailed reports that can be used to gain insights into people’s movement, as well as trace employee contacts.

Companies deploying this solution can quickly and efficiently handle Covid-19 incidents in their facilities. Once an employee tests positive, the HR team or administration will be able to quickly identify all the employees he or she came in contact with, and instruct them to go for 14 days of isolation instead of shutting down an entire floor of the office or asking everybody to go home for 14 days.
