Strategy for the English Language
Reading Comprehension: The candidates have to read the comprehension at least 2-3 times to answer the questions correctly. It is better to read the questions first and then go through the passage to save time. For the questions asking synonyms or antonyms, the candidate should first go through the line containing the word.
Cloze Test: Read the sentence thoroughly and then try to substitute the options in the given sentence. When stuck, try to attempt the next one and then go back to the previous one as all the questions are interconnected.
Para Jumbles: Try to go through all the lines and find the passage’s meaning. Look for the independent sentence, which is mostly the first sentence. Try to find connections between the sentences and arrange them accordingly.
Strategy for Reasoning Ability
Inequality: Do not try to break a similar sign while drawing answers from the conclusions provided. For a given statement, when the signs of the variables change, a relationship cannot be established unless a case of either/or is given in the conclusion. Carefully look at the signs between various variables and then establish a connection between the variables that are not connected.
Coding and Decoding: Look at the alphabets carefully and try to establish relationships between them. It will become easy if the candidates write down all the letters from A to Z on a rough sheet and then solve the questions. For coded sentences, try to look for the common words among various sentences to identify the code easily.
Seating Arrangement: It is generally seen that the candidates are scared by looking at the length of the question. Try to go through the question before coming to any conclusion. Read every line thoroughly and try to implement its conclusion on a rough paper. The questions have all the necessary details required to complete the arrangement. It just requires a bit of patience.
Strategy for Numerical Ability
Data Interpretation: This section usually has questions about ratios, averages, and percentages. Candidates should have a lot of practice and knowledge of all the basic points and formulas of the given topics.
Number Series: The candidates are required to identify the patterns to categorize the series. Try to identify how the numbers are growing in the series. The candidates should also look for special series like the prime and Fibonacci numbers etc.
Simplification: To calculate an expression having multiple arithmetic operators, follow the BODMAS rule. It will bring the correct result in less time. Calculate the approximate value in terms of decimals.
