The first “understandable, have a great day” image was created as another format for the whoppy machine broke image, posted on Twitter by @liltusk on February 26th, 2017.
The image macro portrayed a three panel pan fried comic of Shaquille O’Neal having a conversation with a drive-through laborer about food being “down and out”.
It closes with Shaquille saying the thing.

Spread and Usage Understandable, Have A Great Day
The image spread rapidly, as it was soon reposted on Tumblr.
Its popularity was helped much further, after Filthy Frank posted the original image onto his Instagram account.
From May, 2017, the image started turning up on various locales on the web, including Facebook, Instagram and Reddit.
