The purpose of the session is to create shape, style and definition of the full scalp and add the first layer of follicular density to thin the hair, blur scars and camouflage the procedure.
SMP (Scalp Micropigmentation) can damage hair follicles if they are too small or too thick to place the pigment. Although there are slight similarities with traditional tattoos, there is also a small difference in how the pigments are injected into the scalp, where they become unique and very different from traditional tattoos, and how an S MPM artist will imitate the appearance of a hair follicle.
Today I will show you some examples of people who had SMP treatment and the process of repairing their SMM.
The goal of SMP is not to create hair-like lines, as you would do when micro blading your eyebrows, but instead to use tiny, layered dots to replicate the look of a shadow on your scalp.
The photos, which are called real follicles, are compared to the follicle replicated in a multisession. These tiny dots are replicated by the appearance of the hair follicles and mixed in such a way that it is impossible to tell whether it is hair.
The SMP procedure requires two or three treatments spread over a period of time, so you do not need to get the right shades.
Depending on the coverage required, a single treatment with micro pigmentation of the scalp can take about 3-4 hours, but most patients will need 3-4 sessions to complete their treatment.
As a result, you can take the time you need to complete your scalp micro pigmentation completely if you spread out over several sessions. Do you think you should need more than one session because the treatment will never go away before you know it?
If your technician is inexperienced, you must send us a picture of your scalp before the consultation and you must pay 4-6 weeks after the application. Consider how many sessions you can include in your schedule (more on that in the next section).
If you are within your budget and need to hold additional sessions, the cost of each additional session will be at your expense. If there are exceptions, several sessions can be a temptation that allows you to be paid separately for each session, but you would have the option of paying for the 4-6 weeks between each session or for a total of 3-4 sessions.
The whole goal of each session is to capture as much of your scalp as possible and capture it as quickly as possible while you feel comfortable doing so. By using multiple sessions, session by session, you create more experience than you could in one session.
SMP is a relatively durable process, so no contact is required as the pigment fades naturally. In addition, reapplying pigment 7-14 days after each session of your scalp does not give enough time to heal. While we recommend at least 2 weeks between SMP sessions, you can wait up to 3-4 weeks depending on the schedule and geographical location.
To combat intrinsic fading, you may need to use a gentle moisturizer before undergoing a second SMP session. In an ideal world, our clinic recommends 2-3 weeks between sessions, but when you go back to work after a session, there may be some changes that people notice that they need to explain to you.
Since SMP is a complicated process in which the technique is adapted based on the skin, consult someone who has a lot of experience with it, such as a dermatologist.
Customers who wish to use SMP services should consult a qualified and experienced professional to be sure of achieving the safest and best results. Customers shouldn’t have to pay for an extra session if their scalp hasn’t been properly assessed in the first place.
Instead of just going to a tattoo shop and looking for someone who is specifically trained in S MP, you should seek advice from a dermatologist or other qualified professional with extensive experience in this area.
The SMP / MS companies also claim that several sessions are necessary to keep pigment retention under control. The point of multiple sessions is that the skin will not hold on to the pigment, so it is not really a point in itself.
Multi-session companies also claim that numerous sessions are required to achieve a 3-D look, but they cannot produce a natural scalp that has a normal, healthy scalp.
You need to see a photo of your head to determine how many sessions you will need. While it is best to be conservative and schedule several sessions for a large area, you can complete a small area at the same time.
The SMP results should last 2-3 years without touching, but everyone is different, and the SMP results should last 2-3 years before you need to touch them.
